Victory Team’s Reiterer cruises to world title

Wednesday, 18 December, SHARJAH (UAE): Victory Team’s Kevin Reiterer produced another faultless performance in the first of today’s two motos to clinch his third UIM-ABP Aquabike Ski GP1 world title. Needing just one point going into the moto, the Austrian rider nailed the start and led from start-to-finish and turned the 10 lap moto into a victory parade, winning by 54.72s.

Behind the runaway leader the battle was between the protagonists eyeing a spot on the year-end podium, with Stian Schjetlein improving his chances finishing in second and moving up into third in the standings. Third place went to fellow-Norwegian Ulrik Bernsten with compatriot Daniel Svae Andersen in fourth and retains second place overall, Sweden’s Anders Keller coming home in fifth to keep his challenge for a top three year end finish intact. When Reiterer joined the UIM ABP World Championship in 2015 he won the Championship in his rookie year. Missing out on the World Title in the following two years the Austrian has now established himself back on top with two consecutive World Titles.

"I am beyond words. I am living my dream with so many incredible people around me. This one is for the team! We all worked so hard and it is incredible to see and be able to give something back." says Austrian World Champion.
