Actually the design and the dimensions of the illustrated ride plate remained the same however what has changed was the manufacturing process. The latest edition in made by Resin Transfer Molding and has a Raw Carbon finish. The raw carbon finish is visual on the outer side of the ride plate while the inside will be in a black finish. According to VK Compsites the raw carbon outer finish provides better traction under racing use. The new ride plate weighs 1.3-1.5kg and it is heavier than the previous model by approximately 150-200grams. The plate Retails $305.00 usd in the USA and can be ordered with Raw Carbon option.
