Canadian ace Mike Klippenstein is undoubtedly the most passionate jet ski athlete in the personal watercraft scene. He raced two classes in the last Round of P1AquaX in Florida –Pro Ski and Pro Enduro- and in total he rode for two hours and 45 minutes in two days under very rough conditions. In Pro Enduro he raced with Baldwin’s back up boat and when Baldwin broke his hull Dave Bamdas of Riva offered Mike Phil Pope’s back up boat. Mike still managed to finish 3rd overall although he was panalised for the boat swap and lost two positions. In Pro Ski he won simply by riding in a class of his own. It is worth mentioning that Mike is not a youngster… a fact that raises the factor of determinationa d success a lot higher. Photo courtesy: Klipper Racing
