IJSBA recently announced the 2008 World Finals vendors: Quakysense, Kawasaki, Sea-Doo, Yamaha, Monster Energy Drink, Riva Motorsports, Blowsion, Fennec, Jettribe, EZ Dock, IMS (Official Event Souvenirs), VP Fuels, Hot Products, Rius Racing, Jettrim, Watercraft World, K-38, Liquid Militia, Hydro Turf AP Designs, Beach Girl Beauty, IJSBA, XFT, Novi-Tec, Solas, Group-K, Watcon Jetski Unlimited, R&D, Jet Pilot, Jet Connection, DMP Motorsports, King’s Cup Waterdog Customs, Rick Roy Products, X-Scream, PWC Doctor, (list will be updated - so make sure to check back often).

The IJSBA is very happy to announce that the IJSBA has confirmed all Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement inductees will be in attendance for the 2008 installment. These inductees include: Billy Pointer, Clay Cullen, Sheldon Messick, Brian Bevans Athena Robbins, Randy Laine, Brad Southworth, Tony Corry, Tom Bonacci, Mike Klippenstein, Jeff Hemmel (Lifetime Achievement). There is an additional Lifetime Achievement award that will be handed out. It is a surprise announcement but we have confirmed that this recipient will be also being in attendance. The 2008 IJSBA Hall of Fame Ceremony will be held Saturday, October 11, 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, at the Convention Center area of the London Bridge Resort in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Finally this year we have a Nation Cup on the Jet Raid. In this way the local partner is planning to have an inaugural and closure party like in BEIJING 2008. Following this line during the event we are going to have an Olympic flame in the paddock at CHORRILLOS, Lima on fire all the days of race. The Nation Cup will be a competition between all the representing of the different countries. For the nation overall it is going to be taken the 2 best places each day of the general overall, no matter if it is f1 or f2. If the country has only one representing the position it is going to be increase of 20 per cent of points to give him a better chance to win. Each country must have a representing, not a pilot to defend the right of his country. This kind of race it is going to give the pilots a better option to have the support of their country federation, because he will represent himself but also his country. In case of f2 teams with 2 nations the points of the daily overall will go to both countries only if they are on the jet both of them that day. We (Jet Raid organisation) are going to have a special award for this Nation Cup.

Multi National and World champion Chris “The Mac Attack” Mac Clugage recently informed us (www.jetskiworld.gr) that he will attend the World Finals this year and he will race in GP Ski class. Although, we know that he has built a new hull for the Ultra 250X, Mac Clugage does not plan to race the particular race craft at the moment. Mac Clugage’s GP Ski is a mix of a Kawasaki SX-R hull and a two-stroke Sea Doo XP950 engine.

Hot Products to Provide Special Prizes for Junior Classes in Nashville. The APBA is excited to announce that Hot Products, the leading distributor of PWC parts and accessories, is sponsoring the Junior classes at the Hydro-Turf APBA Watercross Nationals in Nashville Tennessee on August 29-31. “The Junior classes are the future of our sport and we are pleased to be able to support Junior class racing”, said Ken Chu of Hot Products. “Nashville is a first class event and we are pleased to be able to support the Juniors and the APBA Watercross Nationals”. Hot Products will be supplying 3 Grand Prizes for the Junior Ski classes. The prizes will be a X-Box 360, a Nintendo Wii and a Sony Playstation Portable. There are 3 Junior Ski classes – Junior Ski 10-12 Stock, Junior Ski 13-15 Stock and Junior Ski 13-15 Limited. For the class with most riders, the X-Box 360 will be presented to the winner. The winner of the second largest class will be awarded the Nintendo Wii and the third largest class will win the Playstation Portable. If a rider wins more than one Junior class then the 2nd place rider in the second class will be presented the award. MacClugage race report for Orange Beach Alabama 2008 Chris raced Ski GP and Ski stock on Saturday and Sunday (Eight races in total). He won all four races easily, on Saturday lapping the entire field in the ski stock class. Sunday the waves were easily 4-6 foot high, the water was very rough but for Chris this was no challenge he really enjoyed being out there. Yet again he won all four races easily whilst enjoying showing off his riding skills. “I should have some pictures soon of Chris jumping at least 25foot in the air, there was no doubt he was in a league of his own” mentioned Rachel MacClugage in her report. Great weekend for multi National and World Champion Chris MacClugage. It is the finals at the end of the month and Chris MacClugage can't wait!
