>Mark Hahn 300: Webster report

Owner of Kommander Ind. Steve Webster participated in Mark Hahn 300 endurance race that was held in Havasu for 5th year in a row. As a professional that he is, Steve update us with an interesting report about how everything worked out in the race, “Our team was Me, Brittanie (my wife) and Sean Workman. We road in the Open Ski class. Our ski was basically stock class ski that I bought about 4 days prior and only road it one time for about 15 minutes. Even with the lack of preparation the ski ran great and we had a blast. The morning conditions where brutal with 20-25mph winds and 2 to 4ft chop on the water. Just like the conditions on Saturday at the World Finals! As the day went on the wind slowed and the conditions got better but it was still rough. Sean and I did like 22 laps and had a blast doing it. We ended up with the unofficial result of 2nd place. (I am sure we won and they are checking the scoring sheets to verify for us!). In any case this race is not about winning or loosing but paying homage to a great competitor and solider for the sport of personal watercraft. Mark was a super nice guy and had a great passion for the sport and is and will always be missed.”

>Lake Ellsinore race: Webster report

The weekend went well! Our Expert rider got 2nd place. My good friend and Web designer Sean Workman showed at the event to drop off some product for me and I convinced him to race the ski that I had build for Steven Dauliach for the Finals. It was pretty fun since he had not ridden a ski since his last race at the world finals in 2006. He hole shotted the first moto and lead most of the race until he hit a course marker and went down. He got up and ended up finishing 2nd place in the first moto. He was so tired after the first race that he had to lay in the back of the trailer for 3 ours until the second moto. The second moto he holeshotted again and lead the entire race and won the over all. We had a great time and the event went very well. Its good to see Workman coming back in action. Good job and we hope he will show up at the next race...

>U.A.E. Championship: Round 4

Friday 13 wasn’t a lucky day for Steven Dauliach at the 4th round of the U.A.E Championship in Abu Dhabi. It was a one moto race only instead of two motos, due to a sand storm. For safety reasons the Abu Dhabi organization decided to have only one moto. Steven get the holshot in the inside split, however, he missed a buoy. Then he took the correction buoy and get 3rd place during first lap. Ludovic Caumont was leading in front of Alex Kim from USA. Steven made a pass on Alex Kim and work is way to the front and took the lead. Half way in the race a cooling hose got disconnected, the ski get full of water started to sink and Steven had a DNF. The first place went to Ludovic Caumont, second Chris Wilkinon, third Alex Kim and Almur Bin Huraiz. Steven is now third in point, Ludovic Caumont took the lead, and Chris Wilkinson is second with 2 more races to go.
