Racing in Thailand is a whole different chapter since the weather conditions makes it very hard for every rider and every watercraft. High air temperature, warm water, and great humidity are the main facts for everyone. Quinten Bossche appeared to be very well prepared and ready to face the strong French riders who were thirsty to win. Despite the fact that he has not recovered completely from his accident in Lake Havasu city, AZ he managed to pull four holeshots and to win every single moto in King’s Cup 2020/21 world series. He shares his latest thoughts from his outstanding  performance in Thailand exclusively on Jetskiworld.gr

How demanding was the water and temperature at this time of the year?
QB98: The weather this year was extremely humid and hot, which made it very demanding doing 4 moto's usually kingscup means every morning flat water and wavy conditions in the afternoon, however this year it was wavy from the morning already , wich made for perfect race conditions all around

How good was the performance of your ski compare to the rest? In terms of top speed how was your ski in those conditions (high temperatures and humidity)?
QB98: My ski performed at its best. My Qb1racing Kommander GP1 was flawless taking 4 out of 4 holeshots and leading every lap. I am very happy with the work we have done during winter. When you get to King’s Cup you always lose in terms of speed and acceleration since rpm goes down, there is less oxygen in the hot air but these conditions are the same for everyone. We were still clocking 72+mph at Flamingo Lake.

Were you able to train properly during winter for this difficult race? How does your body fees after the bad accident you had in Havasu?
QB98: Me and my team trained hard all winter. It was cold at times but if you want something you have to go the extra mile for it. My leg definitely is better than last season but unfortunately it is far from good. The progress has stopped even though I continued working with my physiotherapist 3 times a week, it is what it is right now and I will have to live with the pain I guess…

How does it felt racing in a course without any spectators on the grand stands?
QB98: It was definitely a strange feeling racing without spectators, but extremely grateful to be able to race during this pandemic situation, I missed racing a lot and smiled every lap out there

Was it very expensive your trip there with the quarantine?
QB98: Yes, the trip was very expensive and it was a big jump into the unknown but I am glad we did it and have a lot of respect for both the Poret brothers for having done the same, missing your family, quarantine, it was a mental battle from start to finish. I am very gratefull for my parents and family, as well as my long career sponsors Jettrim, cometic gasket, Kommander Ind, Blowsion, etc. I hope I can make them proud when we race again.
