Bill Chapin sharing his thoughts about Team Pastorello

"Never win a world title in standard. Being a world champion is neither luck nor chance... "The charismatic and world famous development engineer Bill Chaplin (one of the best friends of Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey and Kenny Roberts, manager and trainer of Jeff Jacobs, Christy Carlson, Victor Sheldon and also Nicolas Rius during his first Kawasaki contract in the USA), entrusted a standard SX-R to Go fast for Raphael Maurin to engage in standard skiing with Bill's development parts, including new sponsons. " I like to work with the Pastorello Team because today, it is those who have the most professional approach to the competition. They are listening, develop a lot and do constant tests, which constantly allows to evolve. The Team Manager, Jean-Bruno Pastorello, is also a great rider, which changes everything. For me, this Pro Ski Stock world title is very important; first because on the sports level there are the best riders in the world, young people we have never seen but who are very efficient and above all, regarding the parts of after-market is the category that generates the most business... on a standard machine, everyone can adapt it to a more incisive steering for leisure or regional competitions. This is the spirit of the jet skiing: Pilot, progress, access to the competition and make your dream come true. Unfortunately, I think the professional categories are by the different conflicts of interest; what I saw on Sunday does not match my vision of the competition... that's why I'm very happy with this world title acquired with Raphael, not that I run after the titles (I already have a few!) but it's always a performance to win several motos in the same day, especially at the world championships because everyone wants to win and on arrival, there's always only one champion and it's the one who will stay in history.”

Pastorello Team has a unique and strong friendship with Christophe Girello owner of GoFastUS. According to Chapin, Christophe is one the best tuner/mechanic he has worked with and his work has been proven over the year with the world titles he earned. Christophe’s shop has been a huge asset to Pastorello Team since they use it as a base camp when they race in Lake Havasu City at the World Finals and the Mark Hahn 300.

The last couple of years Team Pastorelo also gets some support from Kawasaki USA (KMC). This support came through the unique bond and cooperation that Bill Chapin has for many years with Minoru Kanamori, KMC Engineer. Kanamori and Chapin have been testing for many years their parts and share their ideas regarding the development of Kawasaki race boats.

It does not matter the brand/manufacturer or the race or the team, Bill Chapin brings the wins to any team through creative engineering, precise team management, and of course, very hard work. Bill Chapin has garneted an average of 5 world titles per year, for the past 30 years. This year it was 9 world titles, so at 5 per year (average) that makes it 150+ titles for the past 30 years.
