According to the latest records (1st of Sep.) around the country, the price of the unleaded fuel was established at 1.009euro per liter, a price that is lower by 3.07% compared to the values that were recorded in the 25th of August.

>The Greeks at the World Finals

Greek athletes Akis Malouchos and Vasilis Moraitis will compete for the fifth year in the row at the World Finals, which will be held at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The two athletes will run in Pro Am Ski Stock and Masters Ski Open class respectively. They have been training hard and will depart at the end of the month. Moraitis is the only Greek rider who had got points at the World Finals, of IJSBA, by finishing 9th the last two years, while Malouchos has finished a respectable 11th place at his class. Their international race activity is self-supported since local support is nonexistent.

>Elif Hoffer turned Pro

Seattle based, U.S.A. athlete, Elif Hofer, had an exceptional performance as a Novice last year, and has recently turned Pro, she will compete at the Pro-AM Women Ski this year at the World Finals. She does a lot of gym work and rides her race craft (which is prepared by her husband Wayne Hofer) as often as she can. This year, she is supported by Hot Products Riva Motosports, Scott, Klotz Lubricants, 1-90 Motosports and Impros.

The Multi National and World champion has come back in the racing scene, proving that she is in shape according to her results in Nevada. Laho won the women class, riding in a class of her own, her Super Jet which is prepared by Rius Racing. Laho won the race, finishing ahead of Emi Kanamori (who was the toughest contender in last year’s World Finals) and Nikki Goundreau. This year the Pro Am Women Ski will be one of the most exciting classes at the World Finals.

>Dauliach in winning mode

Last year’s European champion, Frenchman, Steven Dauliach won the GP Ski class in Croatia after getting one wins and two places in the podium. Rius also came up very strong winning two motos and a fourth place. Since the official results have not been announced yet, we do not know for sure who the favorite for this year’s title is. The title still seems to be open for a few riders therefore the last race in Paris will be very exciting.

>Three seater XP 800

The pictured Sea Doo is not a new model from the company but a handcrafted idea, made in Greece. Nestor Bechlis visualized it and built this particular hull (and deck) by using two XP 800 bodies. The new craft accommodates a XP800 engine in it. His builder, Nestor is quite pleased with the performance especially its straight line stability, though he mentions that running in a close course does not make him feel comfortable. Nestor needed a lot of working hours in order to make his dream come true and is still working on some up dates. Well done my friend…
