The International Jet Sports Boating Association, together with The Indonesia Jet Sports Boating Association, is very proud to announce that IJSBA Sanctioned PWC racing has been integrated into the curriculum of the first Asia Beach Games held in Bali, Indonesia. This prestigious event, occurring from October 18-26, 2008, marks the start of a tradition of Olympic Games associated with Beach Sports hosted by Asian Nations.“This is truly a testament to the worldwide growth of IJSBA competitions,” said Scott Frazier, IJSBA Managing Director. Becoming part of an Olympic Beach Games shows what our partners are capable of and is one of the strongest rewards of international cooperation. I am proud to support the leadership of Mr. Syaiful Aswar who heads The Indonesia Jet Sport Boating Association.” This development follows the opening of an IJSBA Satellite office in Asia, earlier this year. Multi National and World Champion the Floridian Dustin “King D” Farthing will not compete in Pro Runabout but in Pro Ski this year. For reasons that have not been stated yet Farthing will show up on kitted S4. The Austrian company has confirmed that this will not be factory support team, at least at the moment. Jetskiworld.gr is expecting some more information from Farthing according the particular change in his race plans. Stay tuned…

Two times World Champion in Pro Ski Class Dustin “The Motz” Motzouris is preparing hard for the World Finals. He will show up with the same team (as last year). Botti’s domination was remarkable at the GP Ski class at the European Championship. He topped the podium at the penultimate round which was held in Belgium. The young Frenchman climbed at the top of the podium ahead of local Martin Urbain and Frenchman, two times World Champion Steven Dauliach. Rius’ bad luck kept following him since his injury. Jean Baptiste Botti is heading to the final round in EuroDisney with an advantage since he is at the top of the score points.

BRP marks the 20th anniversary of modern Sea Doo personal watercraft with the 2008 X and Wake models. BRP raises the bar for 2008 with the dramatic new RXP-X 255 and RXT-X 255; and the first-ever personal water craft ballast system on the Sea Doo Wake model. No other manufacturer offers a production watercraft with a performance package which sets a new benchmark in power, acceleration, handling and rider ergonomics. The X models features a race style handlebar and steering system, a special high-grip grip seat, trigger throttle and a new supercharged and intercooled 255hp Rotax 4-TEC engine. The Wake model is equipped with an easy-fill and removable ballast system, also features a large non-skid surface, footrests for the rear-facing spotter and integrates a standard board rack to easily carry a board to and from the ride site. Sea Doo features in total 14 models in the range of pwc.

This season Yamaha makes a big step ahead to the Ski division since the company decided to make crucial changes to the SuperJet. The newly designed SuperJet hull features molded-in sponsons positioned forward on the craft therefore increase the wetted surface area of the hull. This allows the craft to turn easier while making the SuperJet more stable for novice and intermediate level riders. Also, the handlepole is equipped with a corrosion resistant coil spring that makes the handlepole feel lighter for optimal control and reduces rider fatigue. The 2T power plant remained the same for one more year although rumors where talking about a fresh engine. The SuperJet incorporates newly designed integrated graphics according to the company’s racing standards.
