Raphael Maurin’s race report from the World Finals

Frenchman Raphael Maurin talks exclusively to Jetskiworld.gr regarding his remarkable second overall finish in Pro Ski Modified Class in 2018 Blowsion IJSBA World Finals. “I have just returned back home (France) from the World Finals in Lake Havasu City, Arizona where I got 2nd Overall in Pro Ski Modified Class. We worked with Factory Kawasaki Jet Ski Racing Team and Bill Chapin of R&D all weekend to find the best possible set up and to have luck on out side. We did a lot of testing until the last day and the ski was working really well. On Sunday it was the big day, lots of wind which was very good conditions for the Kawasaki 1500 SX-R. I finished 3rd in Moto 1 which was good but not what we wanted so I worked harder in second moto and finally I won. After that all I was doing was to race for the title with Reiterer and Bossche with the same points. However, wind slowed downand the conditions were much easier. I got second place in Moto 3 therefore I was in 2nd place Overall in the class. Now we will work hard to be ready for the King’s Cup. I would like to thank so much all my sponsors for helping me to race at the World Finals in the USA: Kawasaki, Jetpilot, Rick Roy Products, Birh, BNJ parts, GoFastUS, MX lab, Lastragal, Team Pastorello and Bill Chapin.”
