Raphael Maurin and Jean-Baptiste Botti won the first ever race that Kawasaki 1500 SX-R had entered back in 2017 at the Mark Hahn 300. Now, in 2018, Raphael Maurin came as a satellite rider from Team Pastorello and he was given a Team Kawasaki 1500 SX-R to participate in Pro Ski Modified at the IJSBA World Finals and he brought it to second overall. In both cases Bill Chapin of R&D was pictured with the entire Kawasaki Team. I wonder why… Also, it is funny and a coincidence that Chapin and Minoru Kanamori worked together to win the world championship Back-to-Back in 1993 and 1994 almost 24 years ago. Also, Minoru Kanamori is the project leader of the Kawasaki 1500 SX-R. Additionally, has been powering Kawasaki’s to the winner circle back in 1986 by helping Larry Rippenkroeger to win Pro Superstock and Pro Modfied and that is 32 years ago. So Chapin has been building parts and winning championships for over 3 decades… It is definite that there is more to come in the near future from Raphael Maurin and Factory Team Kawasaki. Stay tuned…
