When R&D and Kommander Industries launched the Kommander K1 stand-up powered by Yamaha TR-1 engine they made a point. It was so important that Yamaha personnel from Japan and Yamaha USA showed up at the World Finals in 2016 in order to see the ski and actually the Japanese crew had also the chance of a quick test ride the day after the world finals. A year later Yamaha made some important test in the USA of a new four-stroke ski however no one has confirmed officially yet whether Yamaha will launch a new stand-up ski at the end of this summer for 2019.
