Canadian superstar and multi world champion Mike Klippenstein wins the 52 mile course of Long Beach to Catalina and Back on his R&D Turbopowered Yamaha GP1800. Klipper mastered the ocean waves in a class of his own although he had recently recovered from a rough injury he had in P1AquaX. He mentioned that the conditions were not difficult in the first half of the race however the water got rough on the way back to Long Beach. Another superb win for the Canadian and R&D where the later proved that its turbopowered kits can win (and survive) under the most severe conditions.
