Replacing the OEM steering system on a Runabout not only alters the riders ergonomics but also provides a stronger steering pole that can withstand the higher forces that are applied during race conditions. Some companies offer cheaper solutions that usually provide part of the steering system. Such a system weakens the whole steering pole and when higher forces are applied it breaks like a cucumber. To avoid any hazards it is advised to install from the beginning a proper heavy duty steering system in order to avoid any nasty surprises.
