Christophe Girello chief mechanic of Rius Racing was helping out Dustin Farthing with the handling issues of his two Skis. One of them was equipped with an oversized two stroke engine. The pictured ride plate was the composite OEM plate of the S4 that was heavily modified by Girello with a B.Chapin pattern of holes in order to enhance rear end grip and straight line stability. Girello had also modified an aluminum ride plate for Farthings second Ski. According to Girello Rius Racing plans to produce an intake grate and a ride plate for the S4. The later one will be made off aluminum or composite.
