Last years winner of Akropolis Jet Raid, Frenchman Jean-Bruno Pastorello proved to be the man to beat on his specifically tuned Kawasaki Ultra 300X. After winning Mark Hahn 300 3 months ago he visited Greece for second consecutive with the scope to defend his #1 plate. I like the country, it is very beautiful and the rough water is a real challenge for me and my team. Jean-Bruno mentioned at the noon brake. In the afternoon there was an oval race course of 70 miles which proved to be very tough since the rough water and the strong wind made it very difficult for all the competitors. Jean-Bruno Pastorello was the fastest rider under those conditions and he lapped everyone except from... himself! Some riders missed certain buoys among them Jean-Bruno too (he picked up one of them for sure) therefore the combined results of Day 1 are as follows: General Classification: J-B Pastorello 60, Amador Ferrer 50 Vidal-Lebas 46, Chris Stamboltzis 46 and Ente Sylvain 45. Class F1: J-B Pastorello 60, Amador Ferrer 50, Chris Stamboltzis 46, Ente Sylvain 45 and I.Markesinis 36. Class F2: Vidal-Lebas 46, Mosselman 37, Delgado-Lanza 33, Diaz-Diaz 28 and Gregorini-Loduca 24.
