Multi World and National champion Chris MacClugage was the only American rider who participated in the Kings Cup, a race that was held in Thailand and he flew there along with IJSBA president Scott Fraizer. MacClugage raced only in the Runabout Class, riding a Kawasaki STX-15F. He used a similar set up as the one that his team had prepared for the World Finals in Havasu, though according to Chris there was a little more work done to the cylinder head. MacClugage won three out of four motos and stepped onto the highest place of the podium for a second consecutive year.
