This is the ignition box fitted on a Kawasaki 1100 STX DI, which accommodates the two fittings for the water supply hoses. It needs additional cooling in order to dissipate the heat and operate at a reliable temperature levels. In the past Kawasaki had used water cooled crankcase covers in order to protect the coils from overheating. This ignition module is connected to the standard water cooling system, and sucks water through it, via the pump. Therefore, make sure that the cooling system always works properly and it is not blocked off.
